Audrey

Audrey

Audrey West (MDiv, PhD) currently serves as Acting Associate Dean of Students at Yale Divinity School.  As a former member of the tenured faculty at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, as well as a former swim coach and director of youth ministries, Audrey is a gifted teacher and energetic speaker who regularly leads workshops, retreats, and Bible Studies throughout the country. She enjoys looking for the surprises of God while studying the Scriptures with others.

Audrey is the author of the 2005 award-winning Bible Study, “Everyday Surprises: The Parables of Jesus,” published by Lutheran Woman Today (now Gather), as well as the 2012 Gather study, “Gathered by God.” Her essays have appeared in Christian Century, Feasting on the Word, WorkingPreacher.com, Currents in Theology and Mission, and the newly published Covenant Bible Study.

A California native and lover of dark chocolate, Audrey lives in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania with her husband and a small collection of four-legged critters, all of whom have taught her the wonders of unconditional love.

Jonathan

Jonathan

JONATHAN RUNDMAN is a Midwest-based songwriter, performer, and recording artist. His critically acclaimed songs have been highlighted in publications such as Billboard, The New York Times, The Christian Century, and The Lutheran, and have received radio airplay from coast to coast and in Europe.

Jonathan’s songs have been used as programmatic theme music for regional and national Youth Gatherings. Dozens of congregations across the country use his Heartland Liturgy for their church services. In addition to being a leading voice in new Lutheran music, he was also a contributing author for the bestselling theology/comedy manual The Lutheran Handbook.

Originally from Ishpeming, MI, Jonathan now lives in Minneapolis, MN with his wife Dr. Dawn Rundman, a developmental psychologist and an editor at Augsburg Fortress Publishers, the publishing house of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Dawn

Dawn

Dawn Rundman is a nationally recognized teacher, presenter, author, and resource provider specializing in the faith development of children. She received her Ph.D. in developmental psychology from the University of Oregon.

Since 2002, Dawn has developed children’s resources at Augsburg Fortress Publishers, the publishing ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

Dawn speaks and leads workshops across the country at conventions, seminaries, and congregations. Her writing has appeared in Children’s Ministry magazine, Lutheran Partners, and The Little Lutheran. Dawn’s first children’s book is Alphabet Adventure, especially for 3-year-olds.

Keith

Keith

Keith Williams is a Full Professor at Concordia University, St. Paul and a past president of NCECA (The National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts). Keith has been an artist and educator since the late 1970s. He creates expressionist drawings and clay art, as well as functional pots and liturgical art. Keith has a broad educational background including degrees in studio art, art education and art history. “My love of teaching is also my love of learning, which is also my love of connecting with others. I have become better at teaching as I’ve become better at listening.”

Keith is happily married. He makes good music and bad jokes. He enjoys dog, hat and child ownership, and he golfs.

Aimée

Aimée

Aimée Wesolik Pakan is a passionate youth minister and musician who loves to see the Christian faith bloom in the next generation. In Tangled Blue, Aimée is the drummer and singer who helps keep Joel, her musical partner and husband, from telling too many long tales. Aimée is a great advocate for Peer Ministry and loves to cook, read, and create new rhythms on the many drums she’s collected.

Joel Pakan is a songwriter, performer, and one half of the duo Tangled Blue. With Aimée, his musical partner and wife, Tangled Blue has traveled over 600,000 miles of highways to concert venues in North America and Europe. Joel and Aimée have called a number of places home including two 10-month long tours in their now sainted VW van. Their current residence is in the beautiful Victory Neighborhood of Minneapolis, and when they’re home you’ll often find them on Sunday evenings at Mercy Seat. Joel is passionate about music, theology, words (both spoken and written), wilderness adventures, beer, and hosting events… The Faith Creative Gathering will likely incorporate all of these passions!

Nate Toso is an ordained minister currently serving as associate pastor at Redeemer Lutheran Church (ELCA) in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Prior to attending Luther Seminary (St. Paul, Minnesota), Pastor Nate was a high school choir director for twelve years and he holds a master’s degree in choral music from Arizona State University (Tempe, Arizona). Pastor Nate resides in Rosemount, Minnesota with his wife, Gina, and their two children, Peter (11) and Ella (8).

Gina Stutzman Toso is currently in her fifteenth year as vocal music instructor at Rosemount High School. Mrs. Toso directs the Irish Belles freshman women’s choir (presently 95 voices strong!), Bel Canto select women’s choir, the DaCapo sophomore chamber choir, and the RHS Chamber Singers. She is also the vocal director of Rosemount High School’s annual musical.

Mrs. Toso holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, a Master of Music degree in Choral Music from Arizona State University, and presently holds the status of ABD in the Arizona State University Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) program. She has conducted choirs at the post-secondary level serving as the Women’s Choir Director at Minnesota State University Mankato and as the Women’s Choir Director at Arizona State University (Tempe, AZ). She is a member of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), the American Choral Director’s Association (ACDA), and she served on the board of the Nebraska Choral Director’s Association. Mrs. Toso is an accomplished vocal soloist who enjoys teaching private voice lessons from her home and she is frequently called upon to adjudicate vocal clinics and competitions in the region.

As an educator and parent, Mrs. Toso is interested in the development of all students. For this reason, she serves on the school’s Equity Team, Educational Improvement Plan Team, and has served on the district committee for writing the district music curriculum. Her favorite part of teaching is watching her students grow as musicians and as young adults.

Mrs. Toso resides in Rosemount with her husband, Rev. Nathan Toso, and her two children, Peter (11) and Ella (8).

Christina

Christina

Christina Morris has been a dance educator, theatre director and choreographer at Rosemount High School for 14 years.  Before teaching she danced professionally for three years with the Keshet Dance Company in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Christina enjoys spending time fishing, camping, supporting Minnesota sports teams and long road trips with her husband Todd and 10 year old daughter Avrie.
